LINDEN NEW ART GALLERY
Amongst the charming streets of St Kilda lies Linden New Art, a gallery displaying contemporary artwork. A brief was dispatched requiring a concept idea for an upcoming renovation for a studio space and versatile gallery area. My solution was a custom joinery unit, able to store easels and seating for exhibition. Acid washed concrete aided hygiene and enhanced cleanliness. The simplistic, contrasting colour palette aimed to increase the impact of the outdoor gardens and encourage natural light and life.
Custom Bedhead
HALF MOON HEAVEN
A proudest creation of mine. Unable to find a bedhead to my liking, I crafted a timber feature made out of reclaimed pine, dressing it with a rustic white wash to create a relaxed coastal vibe. The orbital shape gave the head board a unique edge and was inspired by the phases of the moon.
BQ & Marco Bedroom Design
URBAN OASIS
Focusing on the soft furnishing aspects of Interior Design, this project gave was an opportunity to explore the wonderful fabric range of Marco fabrics and manufacturing capabilities of BQ Designs whilst meeting a strict budget and luxury brief - featuring a double window treatment, bedhead, quilt cover, valance, throw and assortment of cushions.
Jenny Jones Rug Design
AFRICAN BLUES
Melbourne rug designer, Jenny Jones believes carpets transpire to 'Art on the Floor'. In association with RMIT, the set a competition to create our own rug design inspired by a personal experience.
PALAMARA KITCHEN
An Melbourne-based couple desiring an electric mixed between 70's Psychedelic and Beach interior design gave birth to this simple but daring inner city apartment Kitchen. The Smeg applicances hint at the retro era whilst soft blues and fluid resin artwork is characteristic of Hampton hues.
YOGA MAT CARRIER
This was a custom made gift for an avid, yoga loving friend of mine. It was used with a combination of natural (turmeric) and synthetic dyes to create an organic, oceanic pattern, representation of his easy going, whimsical nature.
PERSONALITY BOARD
A visual representation of a coffee drinking, music playing, nature loving, psychology studying, photo taking, otherworldly friend who I hold dear to my heart.
BEHRUZ RUG DESIGN
A freelance design for RMIT X Behruz' 2016 Rug Design Competition. A kaleidoscope collage of water forms derived from photographs of personal adventures, mirrored and layered to create a groovy carpet addition.
PRINTED CUSHIONS
Custom cushion designs available upon request. Combination of printing pressed, hand and machine stitched, hand dye fabric.
